Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of discrimination in employment based on age in relation to the young and the elderly. The author considers the reasons for which are discriminated against both groups of workers. The main reason for the author considers the presence of the public consciousness of age stereotypes and the spread of the phenomenon of «ageism» in relation to young professionals and older workers. A separate issue is considered legal regulation in the sphere of labor and evaluated as lawmakers struggle with the problem of age discrimination. Based on the analysis, the author makes recommendations for the implementation of a number of measures to address this problem as the age discrimination in employment.
