Abstract |
The article discusses the problem of
reconsideration of the function of a crime investigator in criminal
proceedings as a self-determined party. Functions stated by the law and provided to
the investigatory bodies, public prosecution office, and courts are analyzed in
the article. Crime investigation is the main
function of the preliminary investigation bodies, hence the specified
requirements to the crime investigators in terms of detection, fixation, confiscation,
and investigation of the incriminating and exculpatory evidence are also
studied in the article. The independence and impartiality of criminal
investigators are highlighted in the paper. |
