The article analyzes the Federal Law No. 44-FZ ‘On participation of citizens in protection of public order’ as of 04.02.2014 and the institutional statutory acts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs adopted in accordance with the aforementioned law for its more active implementation. The article also analyzes certain provisions of the Charter of one of the voluntary people’s patrol of Krasnoyarsk Territory established in accordance with the abovementioned law. It should be noted that at present the institute of interaction of the society with law enforcement authorities is actively developing which makes this area of social life more regulated and, therefore, more effective. This will undoubtedly have a positive influence on the formation of legal consciousness of Russian citizens and strengthen civil society in Russia.
