Abstract

The article deals with the legal regulation of the powers of local governments in the area of defense and protection of the state border and especially their interaction with the border authorities. The basic subjects of interaction and relationships form the state authorities and local self-government. Analyzed the powers of local authorities in the field of state border protection contained in the regulations of the Russian Federation. Proposals for improving the legal regulation of cooperation in the border area of the municipal district.
