The present article deals with the questions connected with individual security assurance in the context of victimization mechanism of anti-crime activity. It carries on an analysis of scientists’ existing points of view on concepts of “security” and “victimization security”. The article discovers the level of dependence of victimity and individual security on the degree of security. The author suggests the definition of “victimization security” with an account of leading scientists’ opinions in the sphere of individual security assurance. It raises a question of development of the victimization component in the mechanism of individual security assurance.
