Abstract

The article considers the privacy of the employee as a condition of decent work. The author analyzes changes in the legislation on protection of personal data in labour relations and formulates the definition of ‘special categories of personal data’. The article considers the correlation of the notions of ‘private life’ and ‘special categories of personal data’. On the basis of the applicable labour legislation the author defines certain cases of processing of personal data of the employee about his health. The author studies ways of processing special categories of personal data of the employee and considers requirements of monitoring employee behavior at work. The article reviews requirements of processing of biometric data.
