Abstract

The article presents the analysis of the crime committed in a state of intoxication as an aggravating circumstance for criminal penalties. The author also dwells on statistics confirming the relevance of the issue. The article considers critical assessment of the legal and social validity, necessity and appropriateness of the given feature in criminal law. Conclusions on the insignificance of the degree of influence of this change of the criminal law on crimes committedwhile intoxicated.
