Abstract |
The article explores the concept of
social control, analyzes the Federal Law «On the foundations of social
control in the Russian Federation» The author concludes that the current version
of the law does not fully ensure effective implementation of public control in
Russia. Article is based on the point of view that social control is, first of all,
the activities of individuals and organizations created by them. On the basis of
this approach, the author suggests that the law amendments aimed at improving
the efficiency of public scrutiny, in particular to change the statutory definition
of social control. The author pays a particular attention to the need to
expand the enshrined in the law list of social control subjects. |
