Abstract

The article investigates problems of the use of electronic copying of information in proving criminal cases. The author justifies the conclusion that the electronic copying of information can be used during the search, seizure or in-spection and deserves recognition as an independent investigative action. However, this requires legislative consolidation of proceedings of this technique. One of the reasons for the relatively poor performance of law enforcement activities in the detection and investigation of computer crime seems to be insufficient preparedness of inquiry officers and investigators to work with evidentiary information kept on electronic media. Current criminal and procedural law is experiencing a significant delay in development of modern telecommunication relations. This relates to the electronic copying of information as well.

Keywords
