Abstract |
This article addresses the issue of suicides in
confinement, unveiling suicides among prison inmates
based on their individual characteristics. It
illustrates how the penitentiary suicidology
strengthens its position evolving into an
independent science and, as a result, unveils
criteria for distinguishing two conceptual types of
auto-aggressive behavior: self-harm and suicide. |
