Abstract |
The article elaborates on the concepts of
“authority” and “armed resistance
to the authorities” as a condition to be held
criminally liable for organizing mass
disorder and participating in mass riots. The
author summarizes and analyses
the views of scholars on the interpretation
of concepts related to riots. The
necessity of criminal liability for
resistance to either representatives of authorities,
or other persons deterring riots is justified.
Besides, the author suggests
amending legal rules of the Criminal Code on
the liability for rioting, in the part
connected with putting up any resistance to
persons deterring riots. |
