Abstract

The article analyses fundamental ideas of the concept of decent work certain definitions of ‘decent work’. The author notes that the idea of the realization of human potential of employees is only indirectly traced in the strategic objectives of the Program of Decent Work. The author gives the brief description of the main instruments adopted in accordance with the objectives of the International Labour Organization to promote the concept of decent work one of the sides of which is the Russian Federation. It is concluded that the concept of ‘decent work’ in practice is identified with the concept of ‘decent working conditions’. the author raises the issue of the role assigned to employees in the implementation of activities in support of the concept of decent work.
