The article is devoted to the theoretical study of the judicial legal positions of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in criminal proceedings. The author analyzes the specific features of judicial legal position of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. The results of the analysis suggested a definition of the concept of the judicial legal position of the Supreme Court in criminal proceedings. The concept is defined as a collective, well-reasoned conclusion of the court, expressing the view of the highest court on the proper understanding of legal rules and their application by the courts in the process of implementation of justice in criminal matters. It is supposed to guarantee the unity and stability of judicial practice in criminal proceedings.
