Abstract

In article the content of ideological function of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and also the concept of national ideology interconnected with it, by a component one of the most important grounds of statehood is researched.

The author considers opposite doctrinal approaches to an assessment of ideological impact of the Constitution based on interpretation of a thesis that no ideology can be established as state or obligatory one. In conclusion a finding about a complex content of ideological function of the Fundamental law is formulated. Ideological function may be realized either by means of a formulation of axiological grounds and principles of organization and activity of the major institutes of the state and society or by means of historically inherent world outlook reference points in the Russian law system.
