Abstract

The article considers the issues of interaction between the executive authorities and the representative bodies of the local government in the process of the implementation of their competency in the realization of issues of local importance. It is also proved that the peculiarities of the interaction are determined by the model of organization of local authorities applied in one or another municipal unit. For the optimization of the activities of the executive and administrative authorities in the course of interaction with the representative bodies of the municipal unit the author suggests that particular regulations should be elaborated which allows to determine the place and role of each local governmental unit and their responsibility for exercise of their powers in solving the problems of local importance.
