Abstract

The article describes the evolvement of the unique institution of interethnic relations – the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The author focuses on the trends of transforming the status of the Assembly from advisory and consultative body to the constitutional one. The article demonstrates the peculiarities of new political and legal mechanism – parliamentary representation of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.
