Abstract

The article presents a short review of the current Russian legislation on public monitoring of actions of bodies of executive powers. It is stated that legal regulation of the abovementioned sphere is carried out in four various directions. Firstly, it is the entrenchment of the right of citizen and organizations for the appeal to bodies of executive power; secondly, it is the possibility of execution of public reviews of statutory acts and their drafts; thirdly, it is the possibility of creation of public bodies and public structures in bodies of executive power; fourthly, it is the involvement of public observers.
