Abstract

The article deals with legal issues of the impact of legal nihilism on legal consciousness of citizens in contemporary Russian society. Particular attention is paid to the views of scientists on these issues. Legal nihilism in our country has fertile ground that is constantly nourished. As years ago we live in a state of lawlessness which sometimes turns into a national disaster and enormous and irreparable damage is caused to the society. One of the key issues of it is an arrogant, dismissive, imperious, condescending and skeptical perception of law, its evaluation not as a basic and fundamental idea but as a secondary phenomenon of human values characterizing the measure of civility of the society, its social feelings, frames of mind, and habits.
