Abstract

The article analyzes the process of implementation of international law in Russian legislation. The author distinguishes between two main areas of im-plementation: direct application of the international rules by the courts in ad-judication of specific cases and in the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in in appealing to the international standards and to ensure the protection of human rights. The implementation of judicial practice is considered. The regulatory and non-regulatory acts which regulate the proc-ess of the implementation of international standards in the Russian practice are analyzed. According to the author norms of international law are one of the strengthening elements of the foundation of the Russian legal system.
