Abstract

Uncertainty of socio-legal mission of multiple crimes in the criminal law generates different opinions of the legal nature of cumulative sentences. The article shows the correlation between signs of multiple crimes and cumulative sentences, takes up the question of peculiarities of cumulative sentences punishment, as well as the issue of execution of several sentences simultaneously in relation of one person. The author considers it impossible to refer cumulative sentences to variety of multiple crimes at the present level of criminal legislation development.
