Abstract

The article considers border security in the system of ensuring state security. It considers the notion of “border security”, analyzes principle threats to the Russian Federation security in the border sphere in the conditions of the Customs Union operation: presence and possible escalation of the armed conflicts; incompleteness of international legal arrangement of a state border; activity of international terrorist and extremist organizations for relift of their envoys in the Russian territory; activation of trans-border criminal groups on illegal transference through the state border; organization of channels of illegal migration.
