Abstract

The article considers the problems of formation of the system of executive power in constituent units of the Russian Federation. The author emphasizes the varieties of systems of executive bodies of state power in constituent units of the Russian Federation. In units where the Head of the Republic or the Governor is the executive body of state power, the government or the administration belong to the system of executive power together with him. In units where the Head of the Republic or the Governor is not in charge of executive power directly, the body of executive power is only the government (administration) then. The article also considers bringing the chief executive officer of a constituent unit of the Russian Federation to power.
