Abstract

The article explains the role and importance of studying a criminal for the purpose of crime investigation, as well as determines its place in the structure of forensic characteristics of criminal acts, analyzes existing approaches to the concept, defines groups of information which are of main interest in the inves-tigation of the smuggling of drugs and psychotropic substances. The author dwells on a standard information model of a personality of a drug smuggler, and classify the analyzed individuals.
